1964 Triumph Tiger Cub, T20SR – Stalled project! Parts Bike or Finish Restoring. 203 758-0395. $2000 or best offer.
1964 Triumph Cub, VIN T20SR486. Titled as 1965. Mostly complete, but not quite. See below. There were only 814 Cubs ever made in the SR configuration from ’63 to ’65, according to Cub expert Mike Estall in The Triumph Tiger Cub Bible.
This is a West Coast bike, brought east by the prior owner. It has a Washington title, signed over to me. This is the Sports Road (SR) model, with low pipe and extra close ratio gearbox, road tires and handlebars, roller big end, and all the best refinements that Triumph had made to the Cub.
After 20 years, I’ve come to the realization that I won’t be finishing this project. Years ago I did a fair amount of work on it, and can document most of it. Call me for details 203 758-0395.
***Anyway, I recommend that you do a teardown and reassembly of the engine*** to check for yourself, but I don’t anticipate problems in the engine. It has a new piston and rings, carb and head are rebuilt, new gaskets, etc. Some of the rubber parts have deteriorated: installed fork boots (gaiters), knee pads, connector from carb to airbox, and some other small parts. One cylinder fin was repaired, as was the front engine mount. NO SHIPPING OF THIS BIKE, but I may be able to help with local transport.

Ask questions as needed, I can take more photos... but you need to ask specifics. 203 758-0395.
Many new parts installed or included.
A few parts are still missing:
Right passenger peg and muffler mount (I thought I had it, if found it will be included)
Plug for lighting switch
Air filter
Miscellaneous nuts and bolts
I know where there is a new muffler for sale. The old one will work, but it’s not great.
Fork pack shown in pictures is NOT INCLUDED - fits earlier Cubs only (and it’s for sale too)
